As the Senior Software Engineering Manager, you’ll guide a high-performing team responsible for developing secure embedded software that will be reviewed and validated by the NSA.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
Manage and mentor a team of engineers, from entry level to seasoned professionals. This includes hiring, staffing allocation, and fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.
Support team members in their professional development goals and career aspirations at Collins Aerospace. Provide constructive performance feedback regularly and collaborate with employees on growth areas.
Engage with engineers, engineering leadership, program managers, and shared service organizations to ensure seamless integration of embedded cryptographic solutions. Foster strong networking relationships to support project success.
Drive the creation of software solutions that not only exceed our customer expectations but support product line solutions. Promote software development best practices throughout the software development life cycle.
Actively participate in pursuit activities, including bidding for new programs. Contribute technical expertise and strategic insights to strengthen proposals and secure new business opportunities.
Manage staffing levels across multiple programs to ensure alignment with project schedules and resource requirements. Utilize earned value management techniques to monitor and enhance program performance and profitability.
Uphold Collins' standards and procedures, ensuring all engineering activities comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance operational effectiveness.
The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
