Job summary

Google Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager for Hardware and Infrastructure Platform Security in Kirkland/Sunnyvale. You will own outcomes, drive technical leadership across multiple teams, and influence product strategy while growing your engineering organization.

You will lead architecture encompassing hardware roots of trust, firmware, and system integrity within Google’s production infrastructure security ecosystem. Strong collaboration across sites will be essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with software development.
• 7 years of experience building software for infrastructure security.
• 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 5 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role, and 1 year of experience as a manager of managers.

• Develop the long-term technical goal and roadmap within, and often beyond, the scope of your teams. Evolve the roadmap to meet anticipated future requirements and infrastructure needs.
• Oversee systems designs within the scope of the broader area, and review product or system development code to solve ambiguous problems.
• Lead the engineering strategy for assigned areas of Google’s production infrastructure security, defining architectures encompassing hardware roots of trust, firmware, and system integrity.
