Job summary

JPMorgan Chase seeks a Senior VP Software Engineering to provide strategic leadership and hands-on technical oversight for complex software initiatives in the Business Access and tools domain within the CCB SMB organization.

You will drive architecture, delivery, and operational excellence across distributed systems and cloud platforms, partnering with cross-product teams to build secure, scalable, and resilient solutions delivering measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of applied software engineering experience and 2+ years leading technologists.
• Expert-level development in Java/J2EE and Spring Boot; strong front-end proficiency.
• Proficiency in Python for tooling, automation, and services.
• Strong experience with AWS services and cloud-native architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and development of new systems; modernize architectures and remediation strategies.
• Collaborate across product, engineering, and platform teams to meet business outcomes and reliability objectives.
• Develop proofs-of-concept to validate approaches, de-risk decisions, and accelerate alignment.
• Communicate status, trade-offs, and risk to senior management; drive transparency and accountability.
• Identify opportunities to automate remediation and improve operational stability.
• Operate in an agile environment; set standards for engineering excellence and delivery quality.
• Lead pilots for emerging technologies and quantify impact and fit.
• Coach and mentor teams to build next-level leaders and succession depth.
• Ensure secure-by-design and resilience across the SDLC.
