Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Engineering within Consumer & Community Banking – Cash and Check Management Tech Team. You will lead technical coaching, set delivery quality, and partner with architects and product leaders to align roadmaps and manage cross-functional dependencies.

You will drive modernization of end-to-end processing on AWS with micro frontend and microservices, and champion AI-enabled solutions that scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on development in microservices and UI.
• Expertise with core Java technologies, Spring/Spring Boot, and AWS in a cloud environment.
• Experience with distributed systems, cloud tech, RESTful APIs, and data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with data streaming and messaging (Kafka, Spark) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Track record mentoring engineers in AI-assisted development and fostering quality and psychological safety.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical integrity and quality of the team's delivery, partnering with Architects on design and with the team on breaking down and estimating complex work.
• Ensure development quality via unit testing, peer review, and automated remediation of recurring issues.
• Mentor team members to progress technical and professional skills and foster an inclusive team culture.
• Partner with product and business leaders to align roadmaps and secure cross-functional buy-in with clear data and trade-offs.
• Lead cross-team delivery and change through ambiguity, raising engineering standards for design, reliability, and security.
• Build and integrate agentic AI capabilities into CCB products and platforms.
• Champion an AI-First mindset to increase productivity across delivery, documentation, reporting, and communications.
