AMETEK, Inc. in Waukegan, Illinois, is seeking a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead the Software Engineering team, drive architectural design, and oversee R&D project management for firmware and software that align with AMETEK’s BU roadmap.

You will manage DevOps with Git and CI/CD, collaborate with sales and customers, and guide technology decisions to deliver best-in-class products forPower Conversion Solutions and related markets.

Qualifications

• B.S in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• 5 years leading a software development group.
• Minimum of 10 years’ related experience in a Software Development Environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work under minimum supervision

Responsibilities

• Direct department activities to design new product platforms and manage budgets.
• Coordinate with sales, customers, and end users to create Best in Class products.
• Directs and coordinates software engineers on assigned projects.
• Manage DevOps systems including Git and CI/CD.
• Advise leadership on current and future technologies.
• Ensure software products meet testing and performance requirements
