Job summary

ACV Auctions is seeking a Software Engineer III to join a cross-functional agile team focused on operational tools, product, or infrastructure. You will build features with a strong emphasis on practical software engineering, reliability, and scalable services.

The role requires a 4-year degree in CS or related field and hands-on experience with Python/Java/JavaScript, plus experience in automated testing and CD.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• 5 years of experience with programming in at least one or a combination of Python, Java, C#, Perl, or JavaScript.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Experience in a highly iterative environment with automated testing and continuous delivery.
• Experience building RPC services using Thrift or gRPC or equivalent.
• Experience with containers and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Actively support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Design, develop, and maintain code for web-based applications, backend services, and distributed systems.
• Collaborate with engineers to design scalable services, plan feature roll-outs, and ensure high reliability and performance.
• Conduct code reviews, contribute documentation, and build robust test suites.
