Job description

The Role

We’re looking for a Senior UI Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in building and shaping the firm’s internal UI platform. This is a high-impact, hands‑on engineering position where you’ll contribute not just as a front‑end specialist, but also as a platform thinker – helping to evolve our UI infrastructure that powers 100+ business applications across the firm. You’ll work in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment where product requirements evolve, and business stakeholders are deeply engaged. Your engineering skills, UX sensibility, and product mindset will all be utilized as you craft industry‑leading UI platform and ecosystems.

What you’ll do

You’ll be a key contributor to our UI platform and a technical partner to product owners building on top of it. You’ll help evolve our technical stack and development tools by contributing to architectural improvements, shared components, and implementation consistency across cross‑functional teams. At the same time, you’ll work closely with product teams or business stakeholders, helping shape feature definitions, and building high‑impact UI solutions directly into their applications.

Your development responsibilities will span full‑stack, including web front‑end, backend integration, API design, performance optimization, and system observability.

You’ll also be involved in the team’s code quality and best practices, mentor junior engineers, identify gaps in development lifecycles, and continuously improve both the core platform and how developers build with it.

What you’ll bring

What you need:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in UI engineering, with at least 2 years in a role leading or designing front‑end architectures
  • Advanced React/TypeScript expertise — proven ability to architect large‑scale, performant component systems, drive front‑end technical standards, and mentor teams on modern React patterns (hooks, composition, performance optimization
  • Strong background in UI/UX design collaboration — partnering directly with users and stakeholders to iterate on application design, translating business requirements into user stories and journeys, and shaping world‑class screens that drive engagement and adoption
  • Experience partnering closely with product management to translate vision and business requirements into shipped application UI — working across the product development lifecycle from concept and requirements to design iteration and delivery
  • Comprehensive, hands‑on experience using AI throughout the development lifecycle (e.g. Codex, Claude, Copilot) — required fluency in leveraging AI to decompose and solve engineering problems, build and operate agents and skills to scale delivery, and evolve SDLC practices around agentic workflows
  • Strong familiarity with common enterprise JavaScript frameworks, such as Redux, Zustand, RxJS
  • Hands‑on experience with advanced data grid and charting tools integrated with real‑time or high‑volume datasets
  • Proficiency in writing unit tests and E2E tests utilizing popular frameworks like RTL, Mocha, Jest, Cypress, Playwright
  • Experience leading the technical lifecycle of complex UI applications, from architecture and technology selection through implementation, deployment, scalability, and production reliability.
  • Experience identifying opportunities to incorporate AI capabilities into user feature or development workflows

We’d love if you had:

  • Experience in building internal tools for trading, analytics, or compliance in Finance or Fintech businesses
  • Experience with AWS cloud services (EC2), Kubernetes‑driven deployments, and modern CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience designing and operating high‑throughput, event‑driven data pipelines on Apache Kafka or Apache Spark
  • Experience implementing or maintaining design systems
  • Familiarity with React‑based micro‑frontend architectures and patterns for building modular UI
  • Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Go, Python, Java, Rust
  • A strong voice for engineering excellence: You advocate for best practices, challenge outdated patterns, and help elevate our standards through thoughtful critique in team discussions
  • Excellent communication skills: Partner closely with business stakeholders to turn high‑level concepts into technical plans, UX wireframes, or prototypes
