Job summary

DRW is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Treasury Development team in Chicago. You will design, build, and operate full-stack applications supporting secured financing, margin, collateral management, and liquidity across the firm.

You will collaborate with Treasury partners, own systems end-to-end, and contribute to modern, loosely coupled architectures deployed on Kubernetes with CI/CD. Strong Python/Ruby skills and fintech intuition are valued.

Qualifications

• Strong senior generalists; familiarity with treasury systems is helpful but not required
• Payments and/or treasury systems experience is a plus
• Trading or fintech background is advantageous
• Full-stack development in Python (FastAPI) and/or Ruby (Rails) is expected
• Strong relational data modeling fundamentals are important
• GitOps and Kubernetes experience; job orchestration systems like Airflow/Prefect are valued

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test full-stack applications (APIs through UI) used by Treasury and partners
• Collaborate with Treasury staff to translate business problems into technical plans and deliverables
• Own software end-to-end after deployment; operate and maintain systems on-call
• Work across greenfield and existing codebases to improve platforms
• Build tooling around CI/CD, containers, and Kubernetes/internal cloud
• Collaborate with other software teams, IT, trading desks, and business units
• Mentor peers and raise engineering practice standards on the team
• Learn and champion new technologies as they fit the business needs
