Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Stablecoin team. You will own backend services and onchain contracts powering custom stablecoins, with a focus on security, scalability, and reliability.

You'll collaborate with product and design, ship features quarterly, and apply Solidity/EVM, Golang, and DeFi knowledge in a fast-growing environment that embraces quarterly in-person surges and a remote-first culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering, building and operating production services.
• Experience writing, testing, and deploying smart contracts (Solidity or similar) in production.
• Comfort owning a service end to end and designing SOA at scale.
• Knowledge of security and correctness tradeoffs in onchain systems (audits, upgradeability, access control).
• Familiarity with Golang and onchain fundamentals; DeFi or stablecoin infra preferred.
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight.

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Stablecoin team within the Developer group, you'll help build and scale the company Custom Stablecoins (CCS), the platform that lets partners launch their own branded, USDC-backed stablecoins on the company's infrastructure. This role sits at the intersection of backend engineering and smart contract development - you'll own the services and onchain contracts that power issuance, reserves, minting and burning, and rewards distribution for a fast-growing roster of partners.

What you'll do:

• Own and evolve the smart contracts that mint, burn, and safeguard custom stablecoin supply, shipping changes in a secure and auditable way.
• Build and scale backend services that power onboarding, issuance, reserve accounting, and rewards distribution.
• Partner with product, design, and tech leads to turn the stablecoin roadmap into shipped features every quarter.
• Drive architectural decisions across the backend and smart contract surface, balancing security, scalability, and speed of delivery.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code and raise the bar for operational excellence across the team.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, including designing, building, and operating production backend services.
• Experience writing, testing, and deploying smart contracts (Solidity or similar EVM languages) in production, ideally where real economic value was at stake.
• Comfort owning a service end to end and composing service-oriented architecture at scale.
• Working knowledge of security and correctness tradeoffs unique to onchain systems - audits, upgradeability, access control, and key management.
• Familiarity with Golang and onchain fundamentals (Ethereum or similar), with direct experience building DeFi or stablecoin infrastructure preferred.
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Pay Transparency Notice: Base salary varies by location (see range below). Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)).

Annual base salary range (excluding equity and bonus): $186,065 - $218,900 USD
