Job summary

Bitdefender is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the SOC Automation Engineering team. You will build and maintain automation workflows in our SOAR platform, leverage Python, and collaborate across security engineering to enhance MDR capabilities.

You will design scalable cloud infrastructure, work with Docker/Kubernetes, and contribute to security and compliance initiatives while staying current with industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field with 5+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Java or C#, and solid knowledge of design patterns and system design.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and containers/orchestration tools (Docker/Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain software solutions and workflows using Python within the SOAR platform.
• Develop, deploy and manage infrastructure across multiple Cloud environments (AWS, GCP).
• Monitor SOC automation processes and troubleshoot issues to maintain operations.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
• Address security vulnerabilities with InfoSec and ensure SOC2 change-management compliance.
• Document technical procedures and troubleshooting guides for ongoing operations.
• Stay updated on automation, cloud services, and cybersecurity trends.
• Participate in a rotational on-call schedule to address high-priority incidents.
