Job summary

Anduril Industries is hiring for the Air Dominance & Strike (AD&S) Group 5 Simulation team to develop foundational simulation capabilities for autonomous robotics and flight testing. You will work on scalable infrastructure and analytics to evaluate thousands of hours of autonomous flight data before real-world deployments.

The role focuses on building cloud-based ETL pipelines, automated simulation environments, and Python tooling to support robotics testing and model validation.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in autonomous systems, aerospace, robotics, or other mission‑critical domains.
• Extensive experience developing simulation tools and infrastructure for leading commercial AV companies.

WHY WE ARE HERE

Air Dominance & Strike (AD&S) is responsible for autonomous robotics systems like the Fury unmanned fighter jet and the Barracuda family of advanced effects. The AD&S Group 5 Simulation team is responsible for developing the simulation capabilities, infrastructure, and analysis tools developers use every day to analyze thousands of hours of autonomous flight time every day before flying software on a real vehicle. We are looking for engineers excited to develop foundational simulation capabilities for current and future Group 5 vehicle programs.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Scaling simulation infrastructure for training ML models / quantifying robotics performance
• Cloud-based ETL pipeline infrastructure (Spark, Flyte, Airflow)
• Automated / generative simulation environments for robotics testing
• Developing Python tooling for simulation infrastructure / orchestration

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience in autonomous systems, aerospace, robotics, or other mission‑critical domains
• Extensive experience developing simulation tools and infrastructure for leading commercial AV companies
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and understanding of their core services.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with embedded Linux systems development and associated tools.
• Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (like auditd, journald, selinux, Splunk).
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and understanding of their core services.

US Salary Range: $191,000 — $253,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
