Job summary

KGS LLC is seeking a highly skilled software engineer to design, build, and maintain foundational software for Amazon Leo Government. You will create new services for mission-critical space safety and government compatibility, using Rust and modern technologies, in a fast-paced, high-security environment.

The role requires US citizenship, onsite presence in Sunnyvale, CA, and collaboration with cross-functional teams including hardware, security, systems, and product teams.

Qualifications

5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain foundational software for AWS Leo Government projects.
Design scalable, real-time software interfaces for government customers.
Coordinate with hardware, security, systems and product teams to meet requirements.
Lead internal and vendor teams to deliver software and interface requirements.
Ensure performance, security and interoperability meeting government needs.
