Job summary

Adobe Experience Platform seeks engineers to build a high-performance segmentation engine for real-time segment evaluation at scale. You will own design and implement key components, develop compilation and optimization algorithms, and work with Spark-based data pipelines in a collaborative, Agile environment.

Required are a CS degree (MS preferred), strong Java/Scala skills, and experience with scalable query engines.

Qualifications

• BS in CS or related field required; MS preferred.
• Experience building a scalable query engine or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
• Experience with databases or compilers preferred.
• Strong Java or Scala programming skills.
• Spark experience preferred.
• Leadership to drive cross-team efforts and collaboration.
• Excellent communication and adaptability to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and product managers on a high-performance segmentation engine.
• Own design and implementation of key components.
• Develop query compilation algorithms to transform and rewrite segment definitions.
• Develop query optimization/evaluation algorithms including multi-query optimization and streaming evaluation.
• Work on data pipelines using Apache Spark.
• Build tools to monitor query performance and debug semantic errors.
• Deploy production services and improve them from customer feedback.
• Participate in architecture, design and code reviews.
