Fivetran is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our SaaS Connectors team in Novi Sad. You will build features for the data pipeline service, improve architecture, and ensure reliable operation of the platform.

The role emphasizes writing robust Java code, designing software that satisfies project requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience writing Java-based applications in production environments.
• Expertise with cloud platforms and cloud-based APIs and databases.
• Hands-on experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot existing code and optimize performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop core features for the SaaS Connectors product.
• Write connectors to integrate with source systems.
• Contribute to feature enhancements and bug fixes.
• Write clean, well-structured Java code following best practices.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our SaaS Connectors team to build challenging new features of our data pipeline service, to improve our software architecture, and to maintain reliable operation of the service.

This is a full-time position based out of our Novi Sad office.

• Work on core features of the product
• Write connectors to integrate with source systems
• Contribute to feature enhancements and bug fixes
• Write well-structured Java code following programming best practices
• Specify a software design to satisfy project requirements
• Participate in team on-call duty

Skills We’re Looking For

• Strong coding, technical and problem-solving skills with 5+ years of professional experience writing Java based applications in production environment
• Expertise in working with popular Cloud platforms, Cloud-based APIs, databases
• Hands-on experience working with RESTful APIs
• Work well in a team
• Can troubleshoot problems with existing code
• Experience in performance optimisations

Bonus Skills

• Experience in reliable distributed systems, with an emphasis on high-volume data management platform that operate under strict SLAs
• Developing services communicating with 3rd party REST APIs.
