The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to support the Space Mission Systems (SMS) Rapid Space Capabilities (RSC) portfolio, focused on the Rocky program in Albuquerque, NM or El Segundo, CA. This is a Technical Leadership position focused on high-impact delivery, cross-team influence, and often hands-on development. This Software Engineering leader will drive end-to-end software development for the Rocky program, owning software design, implementation, and testing processes and best practices to meet program schedules and milestones. The role also shapes organization-wide software architecture strategy for current and future Space Mission Systems ground solutions. These teams design and deliver the next generation of products and services for the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business unit, partnering with commercial, government, and proprietary customers to advance space and ground technologies. Our group spans the full engineering lifecycle — from technology investment and concept development through proposal writing, requirements, design, build, integration, test, and operational demonstration — ensuring solutions are robust, mission-ready, and proven in their intended environments.
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Summary pay range: USD $198,050 - $286,350
