Job summary

Nimble seeks a Senior Software Engineer for its Robotics Platform to design and ship the backend and robotics software powering robot-enabled products.

You will build reliable services, APIs, and tooling, and collaborate with robotics, ML, and product teams to meet demanding production requirements. You’ll lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and contribute to scalable system architectures across the autonomous warehouse stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong proficiency in Rust, Python, or C++.
• Experience with backend services, distributed systems, and API design.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with robotics, ML, and product teams to define requirements and turn them into well-architected software systems.
• Design, build, and operate backend services and APIs that support production workflows and customer-facing features.
• Own integrations between multi-agent systems, cloud infrastructures, internal tooling, and robot-facing interfaces.
• Build orchestration and state management services for long-running processes.
• Improve reliability and scalability through testing, observability, and incident response.
