Job summary

Summit Global Investments is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a lean engineering team in Bountiful, Utah, with remote options for the right candidate. You’ll own features end-to-end across architecture, data modeling, and deployment to scale our financial technology platform.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of experience, strong Next.js and PostgreSQL/Supabase skills, and thrives in an agile, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with modern SSR frameworks; Next.js preferred.
• Deep PostgreSQL knowledge (Supabase) including design, indexing, migrations.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Pragmatic engineering mindset; balance optimization with fast delivery.
• Ability to operate independently within a small team.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain production web applications using modern server-side rendering frameworks.
• Own data modeling, schema design, migrations, and query optimization in PostgreSQL.
• Contribute to architecture and technology decisions as a senior technical voice on a small team.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders in an agile environment.
• Mentor teammates through thoughtful code reviews and technical guidance.
• Take ownership of features from concept through production deployment.
• Help improve development workflows, system reliability, and engineering best practices.
