Job summary

Intellias is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its cardiac care platform based in the Greater Boston area. You will design and implement high‑performance system software that integrates with medical hardware and imaging systems, using Python and C++ in a real‑time, embedded context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/EE or related field with 4+ years of experience, or Master’s with 2+ years, or PhD with relevant experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and C++; strong knowledge of OO design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience in real-time or embedded software development and hardware–software integration; familiarity with cloud services (AWS/Azure).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of high-performance system software.
• Develop, test, and debug applications that interface directly with embedded and hardware components.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers, system architects, product managers, and QA to meet clinical and regulatory standards.
• Drive code quality through peer reviews, automated testing and CI/CD.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering excellence through knowledge sharing.
• Document design decisions and testing methodologies to ensure traceability.
• Troubleshoot complex software issues and deliver timely resolutions in a regulated environment.
• Participate in lab evaluations, pre-clinical testing, and system demos for stakeholders.
