Job summary

Talener is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to help build and scale a workflow orchestration platform in a hybrid Naperville, IL environment. This hands-on role focuses on production-grade software, cloud deployments in AWS, and scalable data workflows.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in software or platform engineering, expert Python development, and strong experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Prefect.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or backend application development.
• Strong commercial experience building applications and services in Python.
• Experience designing, implementing, and supporting production workflow orchestration platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Prefect or similar workflow orchestration technologies.

Our client is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer (Python, AWS, Workflow Orchestration) to help build and scale a workflow orchestration platform for a rapidly growing organization undergoing a large-scale digital transformation initiative. This is a hands‑on engineering role focused on developing reliable, production‑grade software and workflow automation solutions within a modern cloud environment.

Job Title: Senior Cloud Engineer (Python, AWS, Workflow Orchestration)

Compensation: Up to $90/hour

Location: Naperville, IL (Hybrid)

Duration: 3-Month Contract with Strong Possibility of Extension

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or backend application development.
• Strong commercial experience building applications and services in Python.
• Experience designing, implementing, and supporting production workflow orchestration platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with Prefect or similar workflow orchestration technologies.
• Experience deploying and operating cloud‑native applications within AWS environments.
