Job summary

Addepar is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Product Platform team, building foundational components for our ecosystem and delivering value across the stack.

You will architect, implement, and maintain engineering solutions, collaborating with product managers and engineers to refine requirements, promote best practices, and document software functionality. Mentoring juniors and coordinating cross-team dependencies are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Extensive software engineering experience.
• Track record of leading technical initiatives from design through delivery.
• Proven ability to influence technical direction and contribute to architecture of distributed systems.
• Experience with REST, service-based architecture, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain engineering solutions; write well-designed, testable code.
• Independently deliver high-value projects from design through delivery.
• Collaborate with product managers on requirements, feasibility and user feedback.
• Learn and promote best engineering practices.
• Document software functionality, system design, and project plans.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues across the application stack.
• Mentor junior engineers, providing clear guidance.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to resolve technical issues or coordinate dependencies.
