Job summary

Sysdig is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build and operate identity and account services that power authentication, authorization and directory services across product teams.

You will build scalable, highly available platform services used by multiple engineering squads and help evolve onboarding for cloud provider accounts (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI). A remote-first, distributed team collaborates across Product, Frontend, Design and QE.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional working experience as a Software Engineer designing and shipping distributed, highly available services.
• Strong proficiency in Go or Java and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and messaging system (NATS).
• Experience with AI coding agents (Claude or others) and a proactive approach to learning how to leverage them to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate the identity and account services — authentication, authorization and directory — used by Sysdig engineers.
• Build scalable, highly available, distributed and performant platform services used by multiple teams.
• Develop cross-product capabilities including automations, analytics system and ticketing integration.
• Own and evolve onboarding for connecting cloud provider accounts (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).
• Participate in on-call rotation to address urgent issues.

What you will do

• Reporting to the Manager of Engineering, you will design, build and operate the identity and account services — authentication, authorization and user/team directory — that every other Sysdig engineering team depends on


• Build scalable, highly available, distributed and performant platform services used by multiple engineering teams


• Build and maintain the cross-product capabilities the team owns, including automations, analytics system and ticketing integration


• Own and evolve the best-in-class onboarding experience for connecting cloud provider accounts (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI), working closely with Product, Frontend, Design, and QE.


• Participate in an on-call rotation to address any urgent issues

What you will bring with you

• 5+ years of professional working experience as a Software Engineer designing and shipping distributed, highly available services.


• Strong proficiency in Go or Java and hands‑on experience with Postgres or another relational database and messaging system (such as NATS).


• Experience with AI coding agents (Claude or others) and a proactive approach to learning how to leverage them to improve workflows.
