1 Arc Power is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Plant Intelligence team. This remote role focuses on building software-defined power systems, from design to operation, with automation and AI integrated into the workflow.

You will design interfaces, APIs and the services behind them to support plant lifecycle activities. You will work on data-heavy, map-based UIs, dashboards and forecasting tools, collaborating across engineering and commercial teams to deliver end-to-end products for

Qualifications

• 6+ years in building full‑stack production apps.

Senior Software Engineer, Plant IntelligenceLocation: RemoteTeam: Software

The Impact You'll Make:

1AP builds software-defined power systems: utility-scale solar and storage plants designed, built and run on one software stack, from the layout of the land to the electronics on every string.Plant Intelligence is the layer that understands each plant: how it is designed, how it should perform and how it actually runs. It spans site design, performance modeling, digital twins, forecasting and asset health.This role builds the software people use to design, commission and operate plants, with automation and AI built in.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build products end to end: interactive interfaces, APIs and the services behind them.
• Build tools across the plant lifecycle: design, commissioning and operations.
• Bring automation and AI into how plants are designed and run.
• Turn plant data into dashboards and insights people act on.

The Skills You Bring:

• 6+ years of software engineering, building full-stack production applications.
• Strong TypeScript and React, and Python.
• APIs, data modeling and SQL databases.
• Complex, data-heavy interfaces such as maps and visualizations.
• Algorithmic problem solving with real-world constraints.
• Bias for action and end-to-end ownership.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with engineers and commercial teams.

Nice to Have:

• Power or renewable energy industry experience.
• Solar performance modeling tools: PVsyst, SAM or similar.
• Machine learning for optimization: surrogate models, Bayesian optimization or similar.
• Optimization: linear or mixed-integer programming, or heuristic search.
• Data engineering: data lakes, pipelines and streaming.
• Infrastructure as code: Terraform or similar.
• Geospatial data and GIS.

Additional Information:

Minimum salary of $185,000 to maximum salary of $245,000 + equity + benefits.

The range provided is 1AP's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.
