Zoox seeks a senior engineer to own the Software Systems Engineering pipeline, uniting ClangTidy, ASAN/TSAN, FBInfer, and Looker. You’ll evolve pipelines from prototypes to production-grade systems and build dashboards showing real-time health of software quality across the org.
You will design automation, report on metrics, and help steer SSE scale and infrastructure while collaborating with leads and cross-functional teams in Zoox’s safety-critical software stack.
The Software Systems Engineering team is responsible for defining SW development processes and ensuring that all safety-critical software meets a high safety bar for production vehicles.
In this role, you will design and implement methodologies, tools, and processes for safety-critical software that will revolutionize transportation in the 21st century. Borrowing principles from avionics, automotive, and other safety-critical industries, you will work with software engineers throughout the Zoox software org, ranging from state-of-the-art AI Autonomy software, all the way to highly-critical RTOS and middleware components. You will develop and maintain tools that help cross-functional teams build software adhering to a High Assurance Process, working closely with CI tools and infrastructure to meet the team's business goals. Partnering with team leads, you will define delivery milestones, automate necessary tooling, and report on relevant business metrics — while contributing to code reviews and incident postmortems to ensure the long-term stability and reliability of the software system.
