Premier Global Links LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Optimization to build and improve AI-powered scheduling and optimization systems. This backend-focused role blends software engineering, mathematical optimization, machine learning, and scalable cloud systems.

You will work primarily on backend systems while contributing to frontend functionality and helping develop technology that solves complex scheduling and optimization problems.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python or a comparable programming language.
• Experience with linear optimization, mathematical programming, ML models, or optimization algorithms.
• Experience translating mathematical models into production software.
• Experience owning a mission-critical algorithm, ML model, or optimization module.
• CS or technical degree.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance optimization engines using linear programming techniques.
• Develop backend services, APIs, asynchronous workflows, and scalable infrastructure.
• Design optimization models and algorithms for complex scheduling problems.
• Work with optimization technologies such as Gurobi or Google OR-Tools/CP-SAT.
• Develop and integrate ML and AI approaches to improve scheduling accuracy and performance.
• Deploy and maintain cloud-based systems using AWS and Terraform.

About the Role

Premier Global Links LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Optimization to build and improve AI-powered scheduling and optimization systems.

This backend-focused role combines software engineering, mathematical optimization, machine learning, and scalable cloud systems. You will work primarily on backend systems while contributing to frontend functionality and helping develop technology that solves complex scheduling and optimization problems.

The ideal candidate enjoys solving difficult technical problems, takes ownership of production systems, and can translate algorithms and mathematical models into reliable software.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and enhance optimization engines using linear and mathematical programming techniques.
• Develop backend services, APIs, asynchronous workflows, and scalable infrastructure.
• Design and implement optimization models and algorithms for complex scheduling problems.
• Work with optimization technologies such as Gurobi or Google OR-Tools/CP-SAT.
• Develop and integrate machine learning and AI approaches to improve scheduling accuracy and performance.
• Build mission-critical algorithms, optimization modules, and ML-powered product capabilities.
• Work across the technology stack, with approximately 80% backend and 20% frontend development.
• Deploy and maintain reliable cloud-based systems using technologies such as AWS and Terraform.
• Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to on-call support for critical systems.
• Lead complex technical projects from design through production deployment.
• Collaborate with product, customer-facing, and non-technical teams to understand requirements and deliver practical solutions.
• Contribute to system architecture, technical decisions, testing, performance, and reliability.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience shipping production software and leading complex technical projects.
• Strong proficiency in Python or a comparable programming language.
• Experience building linear optimization, mathematical programming, ML models, or optimization algorithms.
• Experience translating mathematical models or algorithms into production software.Experience building backend systems, APIs, asynchronous tasks, or scalable web applications.
• Experience owning a mission-critical algorithm, ML model, or optimization module.
• Strong software architecture, problem-solving, and system design skills.
• Ability to work across backend and frontend technologies as needed.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Computer Science or another technical degree.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Gurobi, Google OR-Tools, CP-SAT, or similar optimization solvers.
• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with Terraform or infrastructure-as-code.
• Machine learning or AI engineering experience.
• Background in mathematical optimization, applied mathematics, or electrical engineering.
• Experience with scheduling, routing, logistics, transportation e-commerce, or similar optimization-intensive products.
• Experience supporting high-availability or mission-critical production systems.
• Experience providing technical leadership or serving as a project/technical lead.
