Job description

CoreWeave is a publicly traded cloud infrastructure company specializing in GPU computing for AI applications. This Senior Software Engineer role focuses on designing and developing the networking software, automation platforms, and observability tooling that powers CoreWeave's large-scale GPU cloud infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Own the design, development, and maintenance of platforms and services that automate network provisioning, configuration, device provisioning, workflow automation, and observability tooling
• Plan and execute complex multi-month projects, sequence work, anticipate dependencies, and manage multiple concurrent efforts
• Write well-tested, well-documented production software in Python and Go, establishing quality standards for code, testing, and CI/CD practices across the team
• Reduce manual toil through automation, define service-level indicators and objectives, and improve reliability and operability of network infrastructure
• Partner with Network Engineering, Observability, Fleet Engineering, and HPC teams to ensure automation integrates cleanly into broader systems
• Participate in on-call rotation, mentor engineers, review code and designs, and contribute to team culture and technical growth

What You Need

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally building and operating production infrastructure, platform, or backend systems at scale
• Strong proficiency in Python and Go
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with CI/CD practices including testing, code review, and continuous deployment
• Enterprise-level experience managing runtime health and reliability for services and applications at scale
• Hands-on experience building workflow automation, orchestration systems, and automated device provisioning (e.g., Zero Touch Provisioning)
• Strong planning and project management skills across multi-month horizons with concurrent efforts
• Solid understanding of core networking fundamentals including IP addressing, subnetting, routing/switching, NTP, and DNS
• Comfort with Linux and Kubernetes, and experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible and Jinja
• Experience with source-of-truth systems like NetBox and observability tooling such as Prometheus and Grafana
• Excellent written communication and documentation skills, with experience mentoring engineers and collaborating across teams

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field

Base salary $165,000–$220,000 determined by job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
