Job summary

Skit AI is seeking an experienced mobile engineer to lead app development on iOS and Android using React Native and TypeScript. You will architect foundations, implement authentication, push and deep linking, and collaborate with backend teams on APIs.

You’ll own CI/CD, testing, and deployments, driving performance and stability across platforms. Applicants should demonstrate live apps on both stores and comfort with end-to-end product ownership in a distributed US-India team.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with React Native and TypeScript, plus solid React fundamentals.
• At least one app built or led that is live on both App Store and Play Store.
• Experience with native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) for native modules and platform behavior.
• Knowledge of GraphQL/REST APIs and ability to read/write Node.js backend code.
• End-to-end product ownership as an individual contributor.

• Implement core platform features such as authentication, push notifications, deep links, offline support, and real-time updates.
• Work with backend engineers to define and consume GraphQL and REST APIs, and contribute to Node.js services when needed.
• Set up mobile CI/CD, automated testing, crash reporting, analytics, and over-the-air updates.
• Own App Store and Play Store submissions, review compliance, versioning, and staged rollouts.
• Keep the app fast and stable through performance profiling, memory and battery optimization, and app size management.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with React Native and TypeScript, plus solid React fundamentals.
• At least one app you built or led that is live on both the App Store and Play Store, and that you can walk through in detail.
• Working knowledge of native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) for native modules, build issues, and platform-specific behavior.
• Experience with state management, offline handling, push notifications, deep linking, and secure authentication.
• Comfort working across the stack, including consuming GraphQL and REST APIs and reading or writing Node.js backend code.
• Experience owning a product end-to-end as an individual contributor, not only coordinating others.
• Clear written communication for working with a distributed US-India team.

Nice to have

• Experience with Expo (EAS Build, EAS Update) or CodePush for over-the-air releases.
• B2B or enterprise app experience, including SSO and admin roles.
• AWS experience with services such as Cognito, S3, Lambda, AppSync, or SNS for push notifications.
• Mobile testing experience with Detox, Maestro, or Appium.
• Experience working in an environment using React Native, TypeScript, React, Node.js, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, AWS, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Jest, and Cypress.
