Job summary

Anduril Industries in the United States is seeking a senior software engineer to help shape the technical direction of a small, high-impact team while staying hands-on in design, implementation, and reviews.

You will mentor junior engineers, write production-quality C++ and Python for mission-critical systems, prototype solutions in an agile environment, and drive technical decisions across the software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and providing technical leadership while contributing as an IC.
• Ability to navigate large, complex codebases in a collaborative team.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
• Experience with big data/NoSQL databases and ML concepts.
• Eligible to obtain/maintain TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Shape the technical direction of a small, high-impact team while remaining hands-on in design, implementation, and code review.
• Mentor and uplevel junior and mid-level engineers through pair programming, code reviews, technical guidance, and architectural discussions.
• Lead by example by writing production-quality C++ and Python powering mission-critical systems, while setting the bar for engineering excellence.
• Prototype state-of-the-art software solutions in an agile development environment and guide the team from prototype to deployed implementation.
• Implement high-performance software spanning tactical systems to web applications.
• Use high-fidelity modeling and simulation environments to quantify the benefits of our technology.
• Drive technical interchange meetings, sprint planning, and customer engagements for mission-critical needs.
• Own all aspects of the software development lifecycle and navigate ambiguity with sound technical trade-offs.
