Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced software engineer to analyze, design, and execute medical software projects under design controls. You will develop solutions in C#/.NET, apply OO patterns, and contribute to code reviews and documentation.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams and mentoring of junior staff are expected. The role emphasizes adherence to FDA-relevant processes, automated testing, and cloud/virtual environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering and problem solving.
• Experience with software development life cycle and verification.
• Knowledge of medical device development and FDA regulations is a plus.
• Strong .NET/C# proficiency and ORM usage (Entity Framework).
• Experience with multi-tier architectures and OO design patterns.
• Experience with web services, SQL Server, and web app development.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and VMware.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, plan, design, and document software applications within design controls.
• Develop software aligned to requirements and program goals.
• Apply standard techniques to resolve complex defects and perform root cause analysis.
• Review code against designs and ensure quality standards.
