Personalis, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain our Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). You will own feature development for existing systems and new cloud platforms, working with senior engineers to deliver scalable solutions in a regulated environment.

The role is onsite with a schedule of Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, offering growth toward senior engineering through mentorship and impactful work within a leading cancer genomics company.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python or Java.
• Experience deploying applications on AWS.
• Relational databases and REST APIs experience.
• Git/Bitbucket and CI/CD concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software systems for laboratory operations.
• Develop and optimize backend services and APIs using Python/Java.
• Use various databases and deploy services in AWS.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development and production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into solutions.
