Job summary

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in the Information Technology field
• 5+ years of full systems development lifecycle experience building custom web applications using JavaScript and HTML
• 5+ years of experience with Java, OpenText Exstream, and MySQL
• 5–7 years of experience defining and documenting business and technical requirements, developing and testing software for corporations (financial/insurance experience preferred)
• Experience working with internal resources and offshore delivery centers in different time zones
• Experience directing and supervising third-party suppliers on projects or application support
• Experience establishing operational and process controls to meet procedures and audit controls
• Experience monitoring SLAs and handling high volumes of requests to exceed customer expectations
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
• Progressive IT experience in software development and QA, with knowledge of SDLC methodologies (waterfall, agile, prototyping, rapid development)

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and implementations
• Develop, maintain and release web-based user interfaces and prepare system design documentation
• Create, develop and maintain system designs with design layouts and prototypes
• Create navigation structures and information designs; communicate design via diagrams and mockups
• Conduct user experience activities on projects as needed
• Demonstrate technical leadership in AngularJS v1, HTML5, CSS3, and RESTful web services
• Perform code reviews and collaborate with designers/developers
• Provide limited system support and maintenance for existing applications
• Guide and lead offshore development on projects as needed
