Job summary

LaraBench is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team and work on a large-scale production application. You’ll own significant components, mentor juniors, and help shape architectural decisions.

You will collaborate across frontend and backend teams, optimize Laravel APIs, migrate MongoDB to PostgreSQL, and partner with DevOps to improve deployments, scalability, and reliability in a production environment.

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team and work on a large-scale production application.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working on modern technologies, and taking ownership of products used by real users.

You'll be joining an existing engineering team to help accelerate the development of one of our flagship products.

The application is already in production and includes:

• Large Laravel backend
• Next.js frontend
• PostgreSQL database
• Existing MongoDB components (currently being migrated)
• Multiple third-party API integrations
• Background jobs & queues
• Scheduled cron jobs
• Dockerized infrastructure
• CI/CD pipelines
• Cloud-based deployment

You’ll work closely with our existing DevOps engineer to improve deployments, infrastructure, scalability, and application performance.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys understanding complex systems and improving them rather than simply building small applications from scratch.
