Job summary

Capgemini in Seattle is seeking an experienced software leader to design, develop, and deploy Java-based applications. You will mentor a team of Java developers and collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to define requirements.

This role is an experienced professional with a strong background in software development.Your role• Lead the design, development, and deployment of Java-based applications.• Oversee and mentor a team of Java developers, providing guidance and support.• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and specifications.• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.• Ensure the scalability, performance, and security of applications.• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decision-making.Your skills and experience• Extensive experience with Java and related frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate).• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.• Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.• Strong leadership and communication skills.• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Preferred Qualifications:• Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).• Knowledge of microservices architecture.• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).• Understanding of Agile methodologies.'The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $82,082 - 193,440.Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting.
