Job summary

Core4ce is seeking a highly experienced Software Engineer IV to provide technical leadership in designing, developing, and implementing complex software solutions for government programs.

The role requires advanced software engineering expertise, ability to mentor teams, and direct interface with government stakeholders. Candidates should demonstrate independent judgment, strong fundamentals, and innovative problem-solving skills for mission-specific requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in software engineering with backend/full-stack focus.
• Strong Python development, debugging, and tooling skills.
• Experience leading software teams and guiding engineers.
• Tech writing and documentation skills required.
• Active TS/SCI clearance preferred; public trust considered if eligible.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software applications and backend services.
• Lead microservices, REST APIs, event-driven systems, and containerized apps with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Debug complex distributed systems and troubleshoot integration issues.
• Write clean, well-documented code following engineering standards.
• Mentor junior/mid-level engineers and guide technical direction.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver mission-focused solutions.
• Maintain technical docs, deployment guides, and program artifacts.
• Support Agile processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Investigate problems, identify root causes, and implement fixes.
• Ensure security, performance, reliability, and mission alignment.
