Job summary

Getty is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Digital Interpretive Development Team. You will own meaningful parts of the stack, drive improvements across Getty.edu, and partner with UX researchers and designers to deliver fast, accessible experiences at scale.

You will work on deep CMS integrations, backend-for-frontend architecture, and modern JavaScript front-end development with a strong emphasis on performance and code quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 5–8 years of software development experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and build deep integrations with Getty's internal CMS APIs, connecting content workflows to visitor experiences.
• Architect and develop Backend for Frontend (BFF) powering Getty.edu for performance and developer usability.
• Develop performant, scalable frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js) with focus on interactions and rendering performance.
• Build and maintain application-level services to support real-time events and dynamic user experiences.
