Job summary

Liberty Mutual seeks a senior software engineer to join an agile team delivering end-to-end software products. The role emphasizes full-stack development with Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, SpringBoot, RESTful services, and AWS cloud implementations.

You will collaborate with a distributed team, translate client requirements into technical designs, and continuously improve performance and quality within a hybrid work model (2 days onsite).

Qualifications

• Five+ years of software engineering experience.
• Background in business operations and strategies, with a focus on business IT.
• History translating client requirements into technical designs.
• Agile engineering capabilities and a design-thinking mindset.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain decisions to non-engineers.
• Understanding of IT concepts, architecture, and shared software concepts.
• Experience with Java and RESTful services across packages.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the I Buy I Sell – Third Party Integrations team to tackle technical challenges and ensure quality.
• Manage end-to-end development of software products and implement effective solutions to issues.
• Document and lead the implementation of technical features, improvements and innovations.
• Proactively seek ways to improve performance, quality and efficiency.
