The ideal candidate will bring strong full-stack application development skills, relational database expertise, Agile project delivery experience, and the ability to coordinate with technical teams, IT managers, and business stakeholders.

This role involves leading application support, developing new features, modernizing existing applications, supporting application migrations, and delivering secure, scalable solutions that meet business needs.

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience within the last 7 years in application development, including object-oriented programming, client-side scripting frameworks, mobile development, Apple development, and relational databases.
• At least 1 year of professional experience using Git, including branching strategies.
• At least 2 years of experience developing, enhancing, and supporting business intelligence reports.
• At least 3 years within the last 7 years delivering features through Agile sprints and participating in Agile ceremonies and stakeholder demonstrations.
• At least 1 year of onsite technical support experience for commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; qualifying additional experience may substitute for education year-for-year.
• Valid California Class C driver’s license with no restrictions.
• Ability to travel as needed for onsite technical support and requirements gathering.

Technical Skills

Experience with several of the following technologies is desired:

• Backend development: C#, ASP.NET Core, .NET 8+, Entity Framework, Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Ruby on Rails, Rails API, WebSockets.
• Frontend development: JavaScript, jQuery, Angular, React.
• APIs and databases: RESTful APIs, SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, relational database design and optimization.
• Agile tools: Azure DevOps, Jira, user stories, cycle time, lead time, and burndown metrics.
• DevOps and containers: Git, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
• Business intelligence: Power BI, Crystal Reports, Cognos.
• Mobile and Apple development: .NET MAUI, React Native, Swift.

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate is a hands-on software engineer who can work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple priorities, solve complex technical problems, and communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders. Experience supporting enterprise or government applications and working directly with end users is a plus.
