Job summary

KBR's National Security Solutions team seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join our mission-driven effort supporting the Air Force Research Laboratory development program in Colorado Springs, CO. You will design, develop, and maintain software for high-velocity data stream processing, translating mission requirements into scalable, high-performance solutions.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years of software development, strong full lifecycle experience, and hands-on mentoring and code reviews.

Qualifications

Active U.S. Government Top Secret / SCI clearance required.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
5–8 years of professional software development experience.
4+ years of Java, Python, or other OO language experience.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of software for high-velocity data stream processing systems.
Analyze customer and mission requirements and translate them into effective software designs.
Architect and implement scalable, reliable, and high-performance software solutions.
Lead development activities from requirements analysis through deployment and sustainment.
Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews.
