Job summary

CNSS • National Security Systems seeks experienced Software Engineers to advance high-impact systems at Fort Meade and related sites. The role spans COBOL, C/C++, Java, cloud computing, Python, and modern tools like Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD.

A CS concentration is required. Qualified applicants will hold a CS or Software Engineering degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, and be prepared for rigorous, security-focused development in a national security environment.

Qualifications

  • Degree in CS or Software Engineering with foundational CS coursework
  • Relevant software development experience across lifecycle: requirements, design, implement, test, deploy and maintenance
  • Experience with distributed systems, cloud, containers and CI/CD practices
  • Familiarity with security, cryptography and secure software principles

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to high-impact software systems across diverse tech stacks
  • Collaborate with teams to implement modern tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, AWS)
