Job summary

Waystar is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to contribute as a technical contributor for our Aware platform. You will work across the full application delivery stack with VueJS, NodeJS, Java and AWS, delivering highly resilient, scalable solutions for healthcare problems.

You will participate in technical and product discussions, demonstrate ownership with minimal supervision, and help raise the engineering bar through best practices and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and system design.
• Experience building scalable web applications and backend services.
• Proficient in Java/Spring, NodeJS, and modern frontend frameworks.
• Familiar with automated testing and CI/CD practices.
• Strong communication and ownership; able to work independently or in teams.
