Job summary

Annapurna Labs (U.S.) Inc. in Austin, TX seeks Sr Software Development Engineer to optimize Graviton performance across open-source projects and internal AWS services.

You will work on everything from Linux kernel debugging to C++ and Rust code optimization, contributing to a broad range of applications from databases to ML workloads. You’ll analyze performance bottlenecks, design scalable software architectures, mentor team members, and develop automation frameworks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Description

The AWS Graviton Software team is looking for Sr Software Development Engineers to optimize performance for Graviton processors.

Graviton delivers the best price/performance in AWS data centers. For the past 3 years more than half of the new AWS EC2 capacity is Graviton based and it is used by over 98% of our 1000 largest customers.

You’ll drive performance optimization across open-source projects, internal services, and customer applications, working on everything from Linux kernel development to C++ and Rust code debugging and optimization. Our team works on a diverse range of applications including databases, web services, compilers, video encoding, ML, and HPC workloads.

Hardware related knowledge is useful, but not required.

Key job responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of system performance, memory management, and parallel computing principles
• Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
