Job summary

Jobtailor in California seeks a senior software engineer to design, build, and ship full stack features across the platform, from data pipelines and APIs to frontend experiences. You will own and evolve our AWS infrastructure for healthcare data, focusing on security, cost efficiency, and reliability.

You will architect AI workflows, collaborate with product and data science, enforce clean architecture, testing, and CI/CD, and mentor other engineers as a senior technical voice on the team.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship full stack features across our platform — from data pipelines to APIs and frontend experiences.
• Own and evolve our AWS infrastructure: provisioning, scaling, security, cost efficiency, and reliability for healthcare data.
• Architect and implement agentic AI workflows that improve how users interact with real-world data.
• Partner with product, data science, and commercial teams to translate healthcare domain requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Establish and improve engineering practices — code review, testing, CI/CD, observability — as the team scales.
• Make thoughtful architectural decisions with an eye toward data privacy, PHI handling, and compliance requirements inherent to healthcare data.
• Mentor other engineers and help set technical direction as a senior technical voice on the team.
