Job summary

Google's software engineers develop next‑generation technologies that change how billions connect, explore, and interact with information. Our products handle information at massive scale, spanning web search, AI, distributed systems, networking, data storage, security, and UI.

We seek engineers who bring fresh ideas and are eager to tackle new problems across the full stack. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions while managing priorities and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of OOP with Java, C++ or Python.
• 5 years of JavaScript/TypeScript programming.
• 5 years of front-end/full-stack/API development.
• 3 years of testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• 1 year of software design and architecture experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in or lead design reviews to decide among technologies.
• Review code and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
• Contribute to documentation and educational content.

Minimum qualifications

• 5 years of experience in object oriented programming with Java, C++ or Python.
• 5 years of experience programming in JavaScript or TypeScript.
• 5 years of experience with front-end frameworks, full-stack development, or API development.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.

US: $174000 - $252000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

• Write and test product or system development code.
• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
