Job summary

Chameleon Integrated Services in the United States, South Dakota location, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead sustainment of FMWorkFlow, overseeing middleware and integrations and ensuring production readiness.

You will analyze modifications, implement fixes, support WebSphere middleware and DB2 integration, perform deep debugging, and provide Tier III engineering support across Windows/Linux environments.

Qualifications

• Active IASAE Level I DoD 8570/8140 certification required.
• Experience with WebSphere, DB2, and middleware integration.
• Experience maintaining mission-critical or high-availability applications.

Responsibilities

• Analyze application and system modifications required to sustain FMWorkFlow.

SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Position mission:

Lead application and middleware sustainment, system modification, advanced debugging, test validation, and post-deployment support for FMWorkFlow and associated technical components.

Duties:

MANDATORY SECURITY ARCHITECTURE COMPLIANCE (DoD 8570 / DoD 8140)

• CISSP (or Associate) – Certified Information Systems Security Professional
• CSSLP – Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional

Requirements:

• Personally developed or modified software supporting an operational enterprise system.
• WebSphere middleware administration, development, integration, or troubleshooting.
• Application integration with DB2.
• Advanced debugging and log-analysis examples.
• Tier III production support.
• Controlled development/test and production-promotion experience.
• Patch, upgrade, interface, or compatibility testing.
• Formal change control and post deployment validation.
• Experience maintaining mission-critical or high-availability applications.
• Experience with IBM ToolSuite or FM Workflow experience

Anticipated start: September 28, 2026

Primary work location: Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota. Occasional work at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.

Work schedule: An eight-hour shift scheduled between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Mountain Time, Monday through Friday. The team must collectively provide overlapping coverage during that window. COOP support may be required, but work will remain within a 40-hour workweek unless the Contracting Officer authorizes otherwise.
