Northwestern Mutual is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable software solutions that align with enterprise standards. You will combine hands-on coding, technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver modern digital capabilities.

You will lead full‑stack development, guide peers, participate in Agile ceremonies, and drive DevOps practices, CI/CD, and testing to ensure quality, security, and reliability across complex systems.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/IT/Engineering.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience designing scalable, distributed applications and leading design discussions.
• Strong Agile delivery practices and mentoring capabilities.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade software applications.
• Lead the development of modern full-stack solutions with performance, scalability, reliability, and security in mind.
• Conduct code and design reviews to uphold engineering standards.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineers across the team.
• Collaborate with architects to design scalable system architectures and resolve cross-system challenges.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and implementation plans.
• Develop and maintain architecture diagrams, specifications, and operational procedures.
• Create and execute unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure quality.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and drive DevOps practices and CI/CD adoption.
• Establish and promote engineering standards and reusable patterns.
• Partner with Product Managers, Business Analysts, UX Designers, and Quality Engineers to deliver business value.
• Build strong relationships across teams to ensure alignment and delivery.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions.
