Job summary

Purpose Brands, LLC is seeking a firmware engineer to design, develop and maintain C++ firmware for access control devices, and to integrate hardware with backend systems in a fast-paced, distributed environment.

You will work on fleet-management tools, automated tests, document technical work, and collaborate with engineering, vendors, and operations teams from our Boca Raton location.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in microcontroller firmware development in C/C++.
• Experience with multithreaded applications and automated tests.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced distributed environment and deep knowledge in at least one hardware, backend, or mobile area.

Job description

Design, develop, and maintain C++ firmware for access control devices, integrate hardware with backend systems, and build fleet-management tools and automated tests. Coordinate hardware revisions and testing, troubleshoot complex device issues, maintain technical documentation, and collaborate with engineering, vendors, and operational teams.

Requirements:

Candidates should have proven experience developing microcontroller firmware in C/C++, working with multithreaded applications, and writing and integrating automated tests. They should be able to work independently in a fast-paced distributed environment and have deep expertise in at least one of the listed hardware, backend, or mobile technology areas.
