We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to design, implement, and maintain Alpaca's foundation, supporting millions of users and cross-region collaboration.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Go or similar backend languages and scalable system design.
• Ability to act as incident commander and lead troubleshooting.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and distributed systems.
• Strong communication with global teams and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Design a scalable brokerage system and core framework.
• Develop middle- and back-office systems with gRPC and React UI.
• Collaborate with regional teams to support multi-language, multi-currency markets.
• Lead cross-functional projects and mentor engineers.
• Troubleshoot incidents to maintain system reliability.
• Occasionally be on-call for critical engineering initiatives.
