Job summary

Redwood Trust, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the Corporate Finance Technology organization. You will design and implement cloud-based integrations between vendor financial platforms and enterprise systems, with focus on Python development and API-driven data flows.

You will collaborate with Finance teams to automate workflows, improve data quality, and deliver scalable financial software integrations across Capital Markets, Treasury, and FP&A functions.

Qualifications

• Strong Python development experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with API integration and data engineering.
• Experience with financial systems integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain integrations between vendor financial platforms and enterprise systems.
• Build automated workflows to streamline financial operations, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Develop Python applications and services for data processing, validation, and automation.
• Design and implement REST API integrations between financial systems.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Treasury, FP&A, Capital Markets, and Finance teams to understand business requirements and deliver technology solutions.
• Support implementation and upgrades of vendor financial applications.
• Monitor production integrations and resolve data quality and processing issues.
• Improve operational efficiency through automation and process optimization.
