Job summary

WM is seeking an experienced software engineer in Houston to design, code, test, and enhance enterprise software solutions. You will lead design sessions, coordinate with analysts, and contribute to advanced planning and deployment. The role requires strong Python backend experience, AWS services, REST API development, and a drive to mentor teammates.

The position emphasizes collaboration in agile teams, on-call rotation, and delivering robust, scalable systems in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree
• High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant experience.
• 5 years of previous experience (in addition to education requirement)

Responsibilities

• Develops enterprise-level IT solutions by coding, testing, and implementing software.
• Leads design/coding sessions and collaborates with team to implement solutions.
• Mentors peers and participates in on-call shifts as needed.
• Coordinates with business analysts and users to determine requirements.
• Reviews development and documentation for quality and accuracy.
