Job summary

NVIDIA is hiring Sr Software Engineer - Distributed Systems Engineer, EDA Infrastructure to design and operate scalable compute infrastructure for EDA workloads. You will automate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management across GPU and CPU fleets, with automation, monitoring, and remediation to improve reliability.

The role spans software, OS, schedulers, networking, storage, and hardware, requiring strong Go/Python and a track record of reducing toil through automation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software/infrastructure engineering for large-scale production systems.
• BS in CS, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
• Strong Go or Python programming, data structures, algorithms, testing.
• Experience designing automation for distributed systems and large fleets.
• Understanding performance, security, reliability, fault tolerance, data consistency.
• Experience with infrastructure automation, deployment, observability, recovery.
• Strong communication and cross-team collaboration across regions.
• Systematic problem solving with ownership and toil reduction.

Responsibilities

• Design and build platforms to automate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of large-scale compute infrastructure.
• Develop monitoring and remediation to improve reliability and utilization of EDA compute environments.
• Automate hardware deployment, OS config, firmware updates, enrollment, and recovery workflows.
• Build services that integrate with schedulers, management systems, and observability platforms.
• Use telemetry to identify failures and return unhealthy systems to service.
• Collaborate with EDA, infra, networking, storage, and hardware teams for scalable solutions.
• Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, capacity planning, and improvements.
