OASYS, INC. in Huntsville, Alabama seeks a Senior Software Developer to support the ARMY/MDA customer on-site at Redstone Arsenal.

You will drive the evolution of mission-critical training and planning tools written in Java, C++, and Python, integrating high-fidelity data, complex models, and tactical hardware health into a streamlined tool. The role requires 10+ years of software engineering across the full lifecycle, with strong C++, Java, Python skills, and experience with XML.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a highly related technical field.
• 10+ years of full-lifecycle software engineering experience.
• Strong programming expertise in modern languages used for defense modeling and UI (C++, Java, Python).
• Experience with XML data structures and parsing utilities.
• Familiarity with geospatial data processing and coordinate geometry (Vincenty Direct formulas, DTED).
• Experience developing software within the DoD Modeling and Simulation (M&S) enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Drive the technical evolution of mission-critical warfighter training and planning tools.
• Design and maintain interoperability with external frameworks (TGx, TMSS).
• Lead implementation of heuristic algorithms for search plan optimization and related models.
• Ensure robust data ingestion/export pipelines for tactical data.
• Support DoD DevSecOps practices and cybersecurity requirements for DoD environments.
• Collaborate with radar systems analysts to translate complex physics into scalable software.
